Welcome to the Best Of The West Futurity Series. Our program is open to
stallions standing in or owned by people who live in the state of Utah. 2008 was our
second year and we awarded over $10,000 in futurity purses over seven classes.
Also we awarded 2 embroidered blankets and 4 Gist buckles. In 2010 we will
add a two-year-old Western Pleasure Futurity in addition to our weanling and yearling
halter and yearling lunge line futurity.
Please join us and help us make this the largest paying futurity program in the state of Utah!!
We also held a very successful weanling slot class. Selling 20 slots, we
had 18 weanlings show and distributed a purse of $4,000. We willl be offering an
additional yearling slot class for 2009.
New for 2009, A Weanling and a Yearling Poor Boy Futurity. The GOAL of
the Best of the West Yearling Poor Boy Futurity is to help promote the
horse industry by developing an additional venue for horses to compete
in a non-intimidating amateur/nonpro class that offers financial reward
and recognition.
We do not pro-rate prize money, we pay it all out and you take
home a check on futurity day!!!
